The Pundits have predicted tougher operating environment for Jet 2.0. Perhaps, rightly so! The reason being, post-Covid, relatively slower recovery of the travel; capacity exceeding demand and the competitive barriers created by the market leaders. However, what might be a success factor is of course, Keep it Simple from the 'Re-Start.' Unlike the history of Jet 1.0, the new avatar is likely to be a straight-forward model. The important element and decisive factor would be of course building up People's-Confidence: both for the internal and the external customers by the new Management at 'Jet-Reborn'. Keeping a clear focus on People-Centricity, On-time Performance, Frugal Business Economics & Transparency could be decisive game changer. What has never happened before, can certainly happen. The history has always taught us this. The key factor for the transformation is going to be the Positioning of the Jet 2.0. Internally, the structure to be aligned to the Vision with a flatter and decision making authorities at key level. Add to that, an Effective and Efficient Customer Responsiveness; Technology Driven Mindset; Partnership & Confidence Building with Suppliers and Service Providers including the Airport and Civil Aviation Authorities; and lastly a clear communication plan for everyone to know its progress, including the Government. Perhaps an opportunity for the Country to showcase to the World, that Restructuring & Revival Plans could work for the Aviation Industry in India as well.
